Is your office ready for ICD-10?

Samaritan Health Plan Operations (SHPO) has a dedicated team working on the ICD-10 transition requirements. The team has completed an assessment to identify the impacts the ICD-10 transition has on the organization.

A road map was developed to define SHPO’s implementation plan. The road map includes a timeline to complete business requirements, system design and development, internal and external testing, medical policy updates, communication initiatives, and training. Upgrades for ICD-10 have already started for a number of key systems impacted by ICD-10.

As a reminder, ICD-10 codes should not be submitted on claims prior to Oct. 1.
