Filing electronic claims results in fewer claim errors, increased security and accuracy of data, improved cash flow, and faster processing and payment. Electronic claims should be submitted directly to Samaritan Health Plans Operations (SHPO) through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). SHPO currently does not accept secondary COB claims electronically.

When submitting corrected claims, clearly indicate the claim is corrected. Corrected HCFA claims must be submitted on paper. Corrected UB-04 claims can be submitted either electronically or on paper.
Please remember that SHPO does not accept faxed claims.
