Provider News IHN-CCO is Taking Action to Promote Safe Pain Management

New opioids authorization criteria is in effect immediately in an effort to support and promote safe opioid use and appropriate pain management. The criteria use evidence-based practices that are supported by our regional task force, PainWise, and state and federal organizations. This action was taken in response to an update to the Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
